<正> 1913年二次革命(也称癸丑之役或赣宁之役),湖南宣布独立的日期,历来众说纷纭,莫衷一是。有7月17日说,有7月25日说,亦有日期不明确之说。现就笔者阅读史料所及,将二次革命湖南宣布独立的日期订正如下: 第一,7月17日不是湖南独立的日期。理由如次: 1.谭人凤虽属事件的亲历者,但对于具体日期的回忆,难免有不准确甚至错讹之处。如谭在《石叟牌词》中自称:“7月7日抵湘,……越四日,南京独立之电至。”按南京宣告独立为7月15日,谭氏将南京独立之电达于湖南时间误为15日之前,显与史实不符。
