在4月9日,素有“常青城”之称的美国西海岸工业重镇——西雅图,在连天淫雨后突然放晴,装饰一新的波音公司埃弗雷特厂房,从早晨9点开始连续10个小时迎送了一批又一批(共近10万人)前来参加首架波音777揭幕仪式的来宾,其中除一部分公司专门请来的外宾以外,大多数都是波音公司的职工,既有白发老人,又有牙牙儿童,时而可见用胸兜兜着 不满周岁婴儿的年轻夫妇,他们的表情除了兴奋和期盼外,更多的是一种自豪感。在波音公司的飞机发展史上,波音777可以说是最深入波音人人心的飞机,不仅许多参与该机工作的职工熟悉它,就是没有参与这项工程的职工也在无时不在关心着它,因为它是波音公司“文化革命”后的第一个成果——一个实实在在的世界第一流的产品。
On April 9, Seattle, known as “The Evergreen City,” the industrial city on the west coast of the United States, suddenly cleared after a prolific rain and decorated a new Boeing Everett plant, starting from 9:00 in the morning. Hours welcomed a group of batches (a total of nearly 100,000 people) who attended the first Boeing 777 unveiling ceremony. Among them, most of the foreign guests who were invited by some companies were Boeing employees. There are old people with white hair and children with teeth. From time to time, it can be seen that young couples with chest circles who are not full of their age-old babies have more pride than their excitement and expectation. In the history of Boeing’s aircraft development, the Boeing 777 can be said to be the most influential Boeing aircraft. Not only are many employees involved in the aircraft familiar with it, they are not involved in this project. It is the first achievement after Boeing’s “cultural revolution” - a truly world-class product.
