用造价只相当于多关节弧焊机器人造价一半的平面关节机器人,进行电弧焊具有较大的经济效益和推广价值。介绍了天津大学在这方面的研究开发,包括机器人的焊接系统的组成,机器人与电焊机的接口,所用的焊接规范,机器人对电弧焊生产的适应性等。应用平面关节机器人实现难度较大的汽车后桥的电弧焊,取得了成功。
