近年来我国公共图书馆大力开展阅读推广,其成就有目共睹。八年前中国图书馆学会筹划成立科普与阅读指导委员会时,学会中不少人还在怀疑阅读推广是否属于图书馆学的范畴。到今天,已经改名的阅读推广委员会成为图书馆学术研究和事业推进的一支最有活力的队伍。2012年年会上,有关阅读推广的分会场和展览成为最吸引与会代表的场所。2013年国家社科基金资助立项的课题中,阅读推广的课题破天荒地占到9个之多,内容涉及全民阅读活动、数字阅读、少儿、老人、少数民族、抑郁症患者、阅读困难症患者及其它阅读困难人群的阅读推广研究。面对如此红火的阅读推广研究和图书馆阅读服务,图书馆人能够轻松列举阅读推广的意义。比如,能够有效吸引读者走进图书馆,提高图书馆借阅指标,增强图书馆对于读者的吸引力,等等。
In recent years, China’s public libraries vigorously carry out reading and promotion, its achievements for all to see. Eight years ago when the Library Society of China planned to set up a steering committee for science popularization and reading, many people in the society still wondered whether reading promotion belonged to the category of library science. Today, the renamed Reading Promotion Board has become one of the most dynamic teams in academic research and career advancement in the library. At the 2012 Annual Meeting, the venue for the promotion of reading and exhibition became the most attractive venue for delegates. Among the topics funded by the National Social Science Fund in 2013, 9 subjects of reading and popularizing have never been missed, covering reading activities for all, digital reading, children, the elderly, ethnic minorities, patients with depression, patients with dyslexia and Other Reading Difficulties Reading Popularization Study. Faced with such a booming reading promotion research and library reading services, library people can easily enumerate the meaning of reading promotion. For example, it can effectively attract readers into the library, improve library loan indicators, and enhance the attractiveness of the library to readers.
