2007年10月8日至11日,为庆祝昆曲艺术被联合国教科文组织列入“人类口头与非物质遗产代表作”届满6周年,青春版《牡丹亭》演出超过100场并成为国家大剧院落成纪念演出剧目,以及香港大学昆曲研究发展中心筹备处成立,香港大学、国家大剧院、中国艺术研究院与苏州昆剧院在北京共同主办“面对世界——昆曲与《牡丹亭》”国际学术研讨会。来自中国大陆、香港、台湾以及美国、日本、新加坡的国内外知名戏曲学者及昆曲表导演方面的名家共六十余人受邀参加会议,新华社、《人民日报》、《光明日报》、《文艺报》、《中国文化报》、新浪网、中华戏曲网以及《明报》、《星岛日报》等十多家媒体的记者对会议进行了报道。
From October 8 to October 2007, in celebration of the 6th anniversary of Kunqu Opera being listed by UNESCO as the “Representative of Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity,” the Youth Version of “The Peony Pavilion” performed over 100 performances and became the nation’s largest Hong Kong University, National Grand Theater, China Academy of Art and Suzhou Kunqu Opera Theater jointly sponsored by Beijing Opera House “Facing the World - Kunqu Opera and Peony Pavilion” International Symposium. A total of more than 60 famous Chinese and foreign opera singers and Kunqu table directors from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, the United States, Japan and Singapore were invited to attend the conference.
