我团线路大修队一連,承担某綫两段的铺軌任务。由于铺軌工作量大,用机械化施工又缺乏条件,全連职工認真讀毛主席的书,以大庆为榜样,发揚“自力更生”“艰苦奋斗”的革命精神,大搞群众性的技朮革新,土法上馬,自己設計和制造出一套簡易铺軌設备。这套簡易铺軌設备包括簡易铺軌車、快速魚尾板联接器、鋼軌换装架、換装架运載小車、装軌吊、接头活动板手等六个部分。过去采用人工铺軌,每天使用258个人工(未計入运送枕木),一般只能铺1公里左右的軌。使用簡易铺軌設备,每天139个人工,平均铺軌2公里,最快达3.04公里,平均每公里节省188个人工。經过几个月的实线,証明了
