随着防火墙及网络地址转换(NAT)设备的流行,这对P2P协议建立连接造成了极大的问题。当配置了NAT之后,它们限制了由外网发起到内网的建立连接请求。为解决此问题提出了在两台NAT之后的主机之间直接建立TCP连接的新机制,这种机制只需要来自第三方主机的简单帮助即可。通过这种机制,我们可以在传统NAT之后的两台主机间建立直接的TCP连接。一旦连接建立之后,应用程序就可以使用标准的TCP实现相互通讯了。
With the proliferation of firewalls and network address translation (NAT) devices, this poses a significant problem for the P2P protocol to establish a connection. After NAT is configured, they limit the connection requests initiated by the external network to the internal network. To solve this problem, a new mechanism for establishing a TCP connection directly between hosts behind two NATs is proposed. This mechanism only needs simple help from a third-party host. With this mechanism, we can establish a direct TCP connection between the two hosts behind a traditional NAT. Once the connection is established, the application can communicate with each other using standard TCP implementations.
