In the 2006 defense budget bill approved by the U.S. Congress in late December last year, MPs protected Lockheed Martin C-130J transport aircraft and Boeing’s F -15 fighter jets as these programs involve the employment of thousands of defense industry employees in the states where the parliamentarians are located.
