Noriyuki Otsuka, a Japanese designer, recently launched a brand new storefront design for Japanese fashion brand LE CIEL BLEU. As part of the Osaka Umeda redevelopment project, the LE CIEL BLEU storefront is a 278-square-meter, five-meter, high-rise open space. The idea put forward by the designer is to incorporate a small internal environment into the large architectural space. The interior is an oval tunnel that is independently supported and reticulated. Due to size constraints, the structure does not echo the surroundings and its location is centered on the building’s axis, giving this layout a center of gravity for an almost pure storefront environment. The elliptical tunnel
