In the 1940s and 1950s, American literary critic Trillin and Zeiss and others gradually developed the well-known Romans tradition in the history of American literature through the collation and study of 19th-century American romance writing, forming the Romance Division. However, from the 1970s onward, the discussion of Romain’s theory on the traditional departure from the social and historical factors of the Romance Division in the United States has been questioned and criticized by various critics. Inspired by the new historicism “Back to History ”, a new generation of American Romance studies have found that the Romance Division of the United States reflects both the narrative strategy and the narrative strategy Features, is the most meaningful and true reflection of the reality made by American Romantic directors before the crisis.
