A new extrusion method was investigated that features an extrusion axis and extrusion barrel moving at different speeds relative to the mold along the metal flow direction while the moving extrusion barrel exceeds the extrusion axis. Due to the effective contact friction on the extrusion barrel in the extrusion method studied, this method may be referred to simply as a longitudinally effective extrusion method.
