时代背景的不同决定了邓小平、江泽民两代领导人德育思想理论具有不同的时代特色,但邓小平和江泽民同志关于德育思想的地位、作用、目标、内容、方法和途径等问题却有比较一致的看法,譬如江泽民和邓小平同志都强调德育首位的思想,并把其放在治国安邦的战略高度加以重视;都强调德育要以培养社会主义的合格接班人为首要目标,并具体化为培养“四有”新人等。江泽民同志关于德育理论的论述在许多方面继承、丰富和发展了邓小平德育理论。
