芙蓉北大道(望城段),是湖南省重点工程项目,全长21.5公里,道路沿长沙市开福区芙蓉大道向北延伸至岳阳市湘阴县,是长株潭三条城际快速千道之一。芙蓉北大道绿化工程由望城区交通局负责施工,投资6000万元,于2016年10月全面启动。经过3个绿化单位9支施工队伍的日夜奋战,在不到50天的时间内就完成了全线绿化任务。举目望去,在主干道两旁、辅道两侧、道路连接点、道旁空置地依次栽植了银杏、桂花、红叶石楠、香樟,并铺置草皮,达到了“有层次、有颜色、有花香”的景观效果。
