The lyricism in the May Fourth novel no longer depends entirely on the narrative but exists directly as a component of the content of the novel. The trend of emancipation of the mind provides a deep impetus and a realistic basis for the formation of its lyrical features, and the esteem of emotion in literary concepts has become the direct artistic motivation for its lyrical tendency to be generated and strengthened.
