经测定，二氯异氰酸钠对７种肠道杆菌的最低抑制有效浓度为７５～１５０ｍｇ／Ｌ（有效氯）。其含２００ｍｇ／Ｌ有效氯的溶液，对上述细菌的杀灭作用时间随菌种而不同，介于２～３０分钟。该消毒剂溶液对苹果、黄瓜和手指上弗氏志贺氏菌有良好的杀灭作用。
