金本《水浒传》是中国小说史上的重要文献,它代表了明清时期传奇小说评点的最高峰,也将中国古代小说的评点之风推向高潮。金本《水浒传》自出版以来受到了不同时代读者的热烈追捧,不仅在国内风行三百余年之久,在国外亦产生了极大的影响力。而究其能产生如此深远影响的原因,是与金本《水浒传》有利于传播的一系列特质密切相关的,即英雄《水浒传》的确立,金圣叹独特的个人特质及匠心独运之小说评点方式。
Jin Ben Shui Hu Zhuan is an important document in the history of Chinese fiction. It represents the highest peak of the commentary novel in the Ming and Qing Dynasties and also climaxes the commentary style in ancient Chinese novels. Since the publication of “The Water Margin”, Jin Benben has been warmly sought after by readers of different ages. It has not only enjoyed popularity in China for over 300 years, but also exerted a great influence abroad. The reason why it can have such a far-reaching impact is closely related to a series of traits that are beneficial to the dissemination of “Water Margin”, namely, the establishment of Heroes’ Outlaws of the Marsh, the unique personalities of Jin Shengtan and the novel of originality Comment way.
