家庭是社会的一个组成细胞,是社会生活的基础,也是组成社会的基本单位.家庭道德则是调整家庭成员间关系的原则和规范.同时,它还是社会道德的基础.社会上的家庭由于所处位置的特殊性,因此,家庭道德除了与社会道德相属的共性之外,还具备其本身的个性和特点.与社会道德比较,家庭道德主要有以下特点:一是行为的不公开性.其行为由于部分涉及家庭隐私,很多现象不便对外张扬;同时行为牵扯的人员也主要是家庭成员,涉及对象一般在家庭内部,范围比较固定;二是是非的不确定性.由于家庭千差万别,认识水平参差不齐,加上传统观念的束缚,家庭成员对问题的认识容易混淆,而“原则和规范”往往容易被家庭成员中的“强者”、“长者”所左右.家庭道德的特殊性,决定了其自身的发展规律,研究和探索它的规律,对于稳定家庭、稳定社会和培养好下一代都有其不可低估的现实意义.家庭道德在不同的社会形态里有着不同的内容,而本文所探讨的家庭道德属社会主义公共道德的范畴.因此,这时探讨家庭道德的参照标准,则是集体主义原则和共产主义精神.那么,笔者认为,在这个大前提下的家庭道德的具体标准应该包括以下几个方面:
