甜菜是齐齐哈尔市主要经济作物,种植面积占全省播种面积的25.7％,为黑龙江省甜菜基地之一。但从生产实际看还存在很多问题,主要表现在单产不高,总产不稳。分析其主要原因有:一是政策不稳定,粮糖比价不合理,种甜菜不如种粮食纯收入高,农民种甜菜积极性下降;二是品种单一,种子质量差;三是栽培技术落后,如整地质量差,密度不够,管理粗放,病虫害防治不及时等。为扭转以上局面,发展甜菜生产,我们从1986年开始因地制宜地推广甜菜综合栽培技术,努力提高甜菜单产与含糖量。
