The reaction of triethylenetetramine with glyoxal gave C17H32N8 (L), a Schiff base macrocyclic polyamine compound. L ligand by elemental analysis, infrared, UV - Visible, MS confirmed. Based on these results, the Cu2 + complexes with transition metal ions were further synthesized. The complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, IR, UV-Vis and Molar conductance
