国家高度重视东北地区旅游产业发展。2016年11月,国务院出台《关于深入推进实施新一轮东北振兴战略加快推动东北地区经济企稳向好若干重要举措的意见》,其中明确提出支持东北地区积极发展服务业,培育养老、旅游、文化等新消费增长点。今年,民进中央提出以旅游业带动东北老工业基地振兴的提案得到中华人民共和国国家旅游局的答复,答复函中表示,赞同关于将东北丰富的旅游资源转化为促进东北老工业基地振兴动力的相关建议,并针对提案提出的三点建议一一作出答复。
