The casting division of S. Russell & Sons in the United Kingdom has raised energy management as a priority. The rise in major energy prices has affected the core making process, the melting of raw materials and processes, and the changes in smelting operations. Since 1952, the company has produced ductile iron and ductile iron. Since 1972, the company has replaced the cupola with two 1.5-ton industrial furnaces due to environmental pollution.
