《小学教学研究》2000年第5期刊载了王昌荣、方碧波两位老师《“书读百遍,其义自见”质疑》一文。文中对我国传统教学方法“书读百遍,其义自见”颇有贬词,认为它是“自古教学少方法”的原因,是“一种脑力的浪费”,并把它与追求高效率的今天相比,认为它“不全适用”。笔者对此持不同看法。笔者认为“书读百遍,其义自见”仍是现代语文教学的重要方法之一。
