口语是利用口语语言表达思想,进行口头交际的活动。大学英语口语课,作为培养学生口头交际能力的一种重要课堂教学形式,对其重要性认识虽有增强,但教学进展缓慢,其现状不容乐观。由于种种原因,许多大学并不重视口语教学,甚至根本不开设口语课程,而一味的追求大学英语四级的过级率,导致许多学生的口语能力与四级成绩很大程度上不成正比。主、客观原因的共同作用使学生口头交际能力仍然很薄弱。如何改变这种现状,以提高口语教学水平,需要我们广大外语教师共同探讨。本文从教师的角度,结合自身教学经验,从以下几个方面对口语课程的若干问题进行必要的探索和研究。
Spoken language is the use of spoken language to express ideas and conduct oral communication activities. As an important form of classroom instruction for cultivating students’ oral communication ability, College English Oral Lessons has enhanced its importance, but teaching progress has been slow. The current situation is not optimistic. Due to various reasons, many universities do not pay attention to oral teaching, and even do not set up oral courses at all. Instead, the blind pursuit of the passing rate of CET-4 has caused many students’ oral competency to be largely disproportionate to the four-level performance. The combined effects of the main and objective causes make the students’ oral communication ability still weak. How to change this status quo in order to improve the level of spoken language teaching requires us to discuss with a large number of foreign language teachers. This article from the teacher’s point of view, combined with their own teaching experience, from the following aspects of the oral English course to carry out the necessary exploration and research.
