李苦禅(1899—1983),山东农家子弟,曾以人力车夫的辛劳与留法勤工俭学会的机遇,步入了中国最高艺术苑地,成了中国大写意绘画史上继明代徐文长、清代八大山人之后的又一位写意画宗师。他尤以侠义之躯投入中共领导的北平地下抗战,在中华丹青史上留下了罕见的浓浓一笔!他的名言是:“必先有人格方有画格;所谓人格,爱国第一。”曾任中央美院教授、中国美协理事和全国政协委员。
