传统的 VOD系统大多使用单服务器结构 ,由于其系统结构的原因 ,在扩展性和容错性等方面受到一定限制 ,因此人们提出了分布式并行视频服务器 (DPVS)结构 .这种结构的关键是将视频数据按带状 (striping)分布在多个服务器上 .从而实现服务能力扩展和服务器级容错 .本文对设计 DPVS的一些关键技术进行讨论 ,包括服务器分带策略、视频分布结构、传输协议、磁盘调度和回取控制、缓存控制、允许控制和资源分配 .
Traditional VOD systems mostly use single-server architecture, which is limited in terms of scalability and fault tolerance due to the structure of the system. Therefore, a distributed parallel video server (DPVS) architecture has been proposed. The key of this architecture is that Video data is distributed on multiple servers in a striping manner to extend service capabilities and server-level fault tolerance.This paper discusses some key technologies for DPVS design, including server zoning strategy, video distribution architecture, transport protocol, disk Scheduling and retrieval control, cache control, allowing control and resource allocation.
