India is currently introducing a set of measures for the management of traditional medicines (including Ayurvedic medicines) called ISM (Indian Medicine System). Government authorities decided to establish a registration system that involves all ISM drugs and ask manufacturers to provide information on the quantification and characterization of their products. Quality control of ISM drugs will be confirmed by the privatization of such qualifications
