2007年1月10日,王英福一案在中宁县人民法院开庭审理,庭审持续了近10个小时,有近200个座位的法庭座无虚席。作为最高人民检察院2006年全国挂牌督办的十件大要案之一、宁夏回族自治区查处商业贿赂的首案和该区近年来查办的领导职级最高、涉案金额较大的案件,多数宁夏人对王英福案已经相当“熟悉”。
