The zirconium isotope ~(93)Zr with a half-life of 1.5×10~6 is produced by nuclear fission and neutronactivation of the stable isotope ~(92)Zr. The measurement of ~(93)Zr can be used for the treatment of nuclearwaste and the influence on environment of fission product. AMS is a kind of relative measurement withhigh sensitivity, which requires standard samples, and furthermore, the isobaric interference of ~(93)Nb isstrong, so we developed a chemical separation procedure to reduce the content of Nb during thepreparation of standards.
