Superoxide dismutase (SOD) plays an important role in protection of biological tissue cells. However, the study of SOD activity in elderly patients with gastric cancer and esophageal cancer has not been reported. The purpose of this study was to investigate whether changes in SOD activity in elderly patients with gastric cancer, esophageal cancer, and red blood cells are related to these diseases. This article selected 100 patients over the age of 60 who were examined by gastroscope in our hospital. According to pathology, there were 12 males and 12 females with an average age of 60 years; chronic atrophic gastritis was 16 males and 12 females, average 64 years old. Gastric ulcers were 2 males and 2 females with an average age of 65 years; 17 males and 5 females with an average age of 67 years; 13 males and 9 females with an average of 66 years of esophageal cancer. Gastroscopy Examines Older Stomach Disease Tissues and Cu.Zn-SOD in Erythrocytes
