3月4日,国务院印发了《关于进一步加强文物工作的指导意见》(国发[2016]17号以下简称《意见》)。《意见》围绕当前文物工作中存在的突出问题,在落实责任、加强保护、拓展利用、严格执法等方面作出了部署。《意见》要求,各级人民政府要进一步提高对文物保护重要性认识,依法履行管理和监督责任。地方人民政府要切实履行文物保护主体责任,将其作为地方领导班子和领导干部综合考核评价的重
On March 4, the State Council promulgated the Guiding Opinions on Further Strengthening the Work of Cultural Relics (Guo Fa [2016] No. 17 or “Opinions” for short). The Opinions focus on the prominent problems existing in the work of cultural relics and make arrangements for the implementation of responsibilities, strengthening of protection, development and utilization, and strict law enforcement. The Opinions require that people’s governments at all levels should further raise their awareness of the importance of the protection of cultural relics and perform their duties of management and supervision in accordance with the law.
