在波兰,一些人往往把企业中的厂长(经理)称之为国民经济的“船长”。因为船长在船只下海后,受船主委托是船只真正的指挥员,有权采取任何决定,但要对船只、人员和运送的货物负责。这种比喻的支持者们认为,企业的厂长(经理)首先应当是国家利益的代表。如今,波兰改革的基本原则和基本法规都规定,厂长应当代表企业的利益,即为企业的长远发展创造条件,要使职工在物质上和精神上都感到满意。
In Poland, some people often call the director (manager) in the company the “captain” of the national economy. Because the captain had been commissioned by the owner to be the real commander of the vessel after the vessel had sailed into the sea, he had the right to take any decision, but he was responsible for the vessel, the people and the goods being transported. Proponents of this metaphor believe that the director (manager) of a business should first be the representative of the national interest. Nowadays, the basic principles and basic laws and regulations of the Polish reform stipulate that the director shall represent the interests of the enterprise, that is, create conditions for the long-term development of the enterprise and that the employees shall be satisfied both physically and spiritually.
