What is still needed to be emphasized in the Internet era is that the news content is by no means an ordinary commodity, nor is it a party to the market system. Its role in promoting the value of the mainstream society is precisely to display and safeguard the public’s right to know. In the Internet age, on the one hand, new media have gained new channels of communication, greatly increasing their influence and gaining more social benefits. On the other hand, the new media has been changed and subverted. As a result, the media have given up its social responsibility because of commercial goals. In particular, when commercial interests conflict with public interests, the media may regard commercial interests as the primary or even the only goal.
