在适宜的条件下,花生可以长期储藏而品质不受影响。花生通常都是储藏在低温库中的。但是,由于低温储藏的费用会随着储藏时间的延长而增加,因而就需要一些花费较少的方法来取代低温储藏,以保藏高质量的花生。由于不施用杀虫药剂就可以控制住害虫和微生物的危害,所以,采用气调储藏的方法来保藏粮食时很有吸引力的。低于1%的低氧空气已经用于储藏以控制害虫和真菌。在储藏中,可通过使用氮气(N_2)或脱水的丙烷气及天然气的燃烧气(BG)产生低氧气体,或者也可以把二氧化碳(CO_2)冲灌进储藏库中。水分是真菌生长繁殖的关键因素。当用气调方法储藏水分为12—15%的玉米时,玉米品质及其微生物区系均不发生变化。但是,倘若在环境温度下采用60%的 CO_2,BG 气或 N_2的气调法储藏高水分玉米或花生一个月,其微生物区系将发生剧烈变化。
Under suitable conditions, peanuts can be stored for long periods of time without compromising quality. Peanuts are usually stored in low temperature storage. However, since the cost of cryogenic storage increases with the shelf life, some less expensive methods are needed to replace cryogenic storage to preserve high quality peanuts. Since pests and microorganisms can be controlled without the use of pesticides, it is tempting to use modified atmosphere storage to preserve food. Less than 1% of hypoxic air has been used for storage to control pests and fungi. In storage, low oxygen gas can be generated by using nitrogen (N 2) or dehydrated propane gas and natural gas (BG), or carbon dioxide (CO 2) can also be flushed into the storage tank. Water is a key factor in the growth and reproduction of fungi. There was no change in corn quality and its microflora when it was stored at 12-15% moisture using a modified atmosphere. However, if 60% CO 2, BG or N 2 gas is used to store high moisture corn or peanut for one month at ambient temperature, its microflora will change drastically.
