In order to investigate whether the existing runway can meet the requirement of take-off and landing for a large aircraft A380-800, an elastic layered rigid pavement model and an entire main landing gear model of the A380-800 are established. Based on the numerical calculation, the A380-800 is analyzed. The response depth of the soil foundation, the maximum tensile stress of the surface course and the maximum vertical displacement of the surface layer, and compared with the calculation results of B747-400. The results show that although the maximum take-off weight of the A380-800 is 41.09% larger than that of the B747-400, the A380-800 main gear has a large number of wheels and a large spacing and wheelbase, which helps to enhance the stress dispersion and weaken the superposition effect. Therefore, The depth of soil-based response is only 4.29% lower than that of B747-400. The maximum tensile stress at the bottom of the layer is affected by the landing wheel arrangement and the maximum tensile stress at the bottom of B747-400 appears at different positions. The maximum tensile stress at the bottom of the two models only differs by 1.09%; the maximum vertical displacement of the surface layer appears at the cross section where the center axis of the three-axis double wheel is located, while the maximum vertical displacement of the B747-400 surface layer appears at the inner biaxial double The section where the rear axle of the wheel is located, and the maximum vertical displacement of the facing of the two models only differ by 0.49%. Therefore, from mechanical point of view, the B747-400 is designed to meet the normal takeoff and landing requirements of the A380-800.
