现已公认牙菌斑细菌及其产物是牙周病的主要病因。由于还不能证实在牙周病早期细菌进入了牙周组织,一些学者们就提出了这样的设想:菌斑细菌能产生和释放一些可溶性物质,通过直接作用于牙龈组织或通过干扰机体的免疫反应造成牙龈组织的损伤,继而导致牙周病。这些物质存在于牙菌斑浸出液(plaque extract)中,对体外培养细胞有细胞毒性作用。本文拟对这些物质的细胞毒性,理化特性及可能来源等作一简要评述,可能对进一步认识牙周病的病因,发病机理有所帮助。
It is now recognized that dental plaque bacteria and their products are the main causes of periodontal disease. Since it is not yet proven that bacteria enter the periodontal tissues during the early period of periodontal disease, some scholars have proposed the idea that plaque bacteria can produce and release some soluble substances by acting directly on the gingival tissue or by interfering with the body's immune response Gingival tissue damage, which can lead to periodontal disease. These substances are found in plaque extracts and have cytotoxic effects on cultured cells in vitro. This article intends to make a brief review on the cytotoxicity, physicochemical properties and possible sources of these substances, which may be helpful to further understand the etiology and pathogenesis of periodontal disease.
