In production often encounter such a problem: almost all metal cutting machine in some cutting conditions will produce self-excited vibration. This problem has become increasingly important with the development of metal-cutting machine tools. There have been many scholars such as the Soviet Union’s Cassilin, Sokolovsky, Britain’s Arnold and so on have done this theoretical and experimental study. But in general, it is a relatively new issue that needs further discussion in many aspects. Czechoslovak Metal Cutting Machine Tool Institute in the last decade of self-excited vibration of the machine has done a lot of research work, and the creation of a “location link”, “re-vibration” theory. In addition, the Soviet Union’s Metal Cutting Machine Tool Institute of Science and Technology and Germany, Germany, Shenzhen and other industrial universities are also studying this issue.
