表现性是所有形态及历史阶段的艺术的基本特征之一。可以说,艺术之所以出现就是由于人类有表现的意志。但在人类艺术的发展过程中,表现的方式、内容及人们对这一概念的认识是在不断演变的。这一演变恰与人类精神的进化与对自身价值的愈来愈深入的认识过程相契合。本文试图对这一发展过程作一简要探讨,以说明表现的前现代形态及其何以成为20世纪艺术中的一个极为重要的概念,及其在当代的发展趋势。
Performance is one of the basic characteristics of art in all its forms and historical periods. It can be said that the reason why art is manifested is that human beings have the will to express themselves. However, in the process of the development of human arts, the way of expression, the content and people’s understanding of this concept are constantly evolving. This evolution coincided with the evolution of the human spirit and its own value of the more in-depth understanding of the process fit. This article attempts to make a brief discussion of this development process to illustrate the pre-modern form of performance and why it has become an extremely important concept in 20th century art and its contemporary development trend.
