Objective To understand the cognitive status of patients with disulfiram-like reaction in outpatients, and to provide a basis for reducing the disulfiram-like reaction. Methods A total of 138 patients were enrolled in the study. The questionnaires were used to understand the cognitive status of patients with disulfiram-like reaction. Results Of the 26.81% patients who knew about disulfiram-like reaction, 75.36% knew that they could not drink during the medication. Only 12.32% of patients can speak more than five drugs, such as taking disulfiram-like reactions during the medication. 73.19% of patients do not understand disulfiram-like response. 100% of outpatients want knowledge about disulfiram-like responses. Conclusions The majority of outpatients have a low cognitive level of disulfiram-like response, suggesting that medical staff should step up publicity of disulfiram-like responses to minimize the occurrence of disulfiram-like reactions and enhance safe medication.
