The United States is the world’s largest garment market with annual sales of more than US$177 billion. Due to the high level of wages in the United States, garment makers moved some garment factory production lines overseas in order to reduce costs, so as to meet the huge garment market demand in the United States. The clothing market in the United States is very large and the competition is fierce. Due to the severe price cuts and the harsh terms of trade, successful efforts must be made to open up the U.S. market. In addition, the U.S. imposes strict restrictions on the import of garments. They all implement a series of protection measures such as quotas and customs clearance deposits. Moreover, due to complicated procedures such as delivery and customs clearance, businesses should pay more attention. In the past 10 years, the U.S. economy has grown rapidly, the purchasing power of the people has increased, and the level of clothing consumption has been high. The average monthly clothing expenditure per household is 175 US dollars, accounting for about 4.1% of the total expenditure.
