眼外伤导致异物存留比较常见,过去,一般多采用普通X线摄片确定有无异物存留,并进行异物定位、定量诊断,其准确度与手术结果往往有一定的差距。自从70年代CT机问世以来,CT扫描也广泛应用于眼科疾病的检查,由于CT具有较高的密度及空间分辨率,且为横断面断层扫描,能清晰地显示眼眶内各种正常组织结构及异物的位置和相关性,所以用CT扫描来检查眼部异物往往能得到准确的定位、定置、定性诊断,为指导临床手术提供了可靠的依据。
