Time is an important motif in the Russian-American writer Nabokov’s novels, as well as the origin of the glamor of his novel. Based on Bergson’s time theory, Nabokov formed its unique view of time in combination with its own experience of existence. In his view, time is a prison for human existence, and it holds us trapped in the present for neither the past nor the future. This concept of time often appears in his novels as a setting of the mechanism of time-space interweaving of texts, thus making his novels unique in postmodern texts and inspiring the world to think about the human existence as well as the beauty of his novels.
