我乡是距县城最远的一个乡镇,1984年建乡时,交通不便,经济贫困,文化落后,学校校舍破旧、设备简陋,俗称“三泥”学校——泥屋、泥桌凳、泥孩子。金乡近80名教师中仅有5名中师生,民办教师占80%以上。为了改变这一状况,我们认认真真地坐下来研讨全乡教育发展的可能性和现实性,在乡党委和乡政府的大力支持下,从抓教师队伍建设为突破口,提出了“以教师为本、质量为魂、齐心合力、苦干十年、不断提高整体办学效益”的教育发展思路,使我乡教育逐步走向良性循环。
