Objective To compare and analyze the effects of intraperitoneal injection of third trimester of pregnancy on the reproductive physiology of inbred strains of SPF C57BL / 6J (B6) and BALB / c (B / c) mice. Methods B6 and B / c mice were randomly assigned to sibling siblings 2: 1/1 (♀ / ♂) for cohabitation overnight to observe the relationship between copulation methods and vaginal suppository and pregnancy rate. On the 17th day of gestation Pregnancy 0d = the day after mating) received intraperitoneal injections of acid phosphate buffer to observe the effects of injection on maternal mice and embryos and the early growth and development of offspring from offspring to 8 weeks. Results The pregnancy rate of B6 was significantly higher than that of B / C female mice (29.4% vs.21.1% [2:1], 33.2% vs.29.7% [1: 1]). Large belly, combined with body weight to determine the pregnancy than the observation of the vaginal suppository more accurate; comparatively, late pregnancy, intraperitoneal injection of B6 greater impact on embryos and embryos, showing a decrease in the number of offspring mice (4.7 ± 3.1 vs. 6.1 ± 2.1, P = 0.231). Body weight (g, females: 11.7 ± 1.1 vs.12.7 ± 1.5; males: 12.8 ± 1.3 vs.13.6 ± 1.5) ) And two-way offspring early growth and development of the way significantly different (P = 0.000). Conclusions The inbred strains of inbred mice have differences in reproductive physiology. The inbred mice of the two strains have different tolerance to the intraperitoneal injection in the third trimester, and may affect the postpartum lactation process and the early growth of the offspring.
