人们知道,磁记录介质的表面粗糙度影响记录和重放特性。我们用于涉法对一系列VHS 录像带表面进行了粗糙度测量。业已发现磁带的信号输出电平和噪声与其均方根(rms)表面粗糙度有密切的关系(相关系数>0.95)。并发现随着表面粗糙度的增加,高频 RF 输出降低。这种关系在某种程度上符合三种理论模型。均方根表面粗糙度干涉法测量值乘以2.7,恰好等于计算出的磁头与磁带的间距(以下简称头一带间距)。
It is known that the surface roughness of a magnetic recording medium affects the recording and reproducing characteristics. We used the law to make surface roughness measurements on a range of VHS videotapes. It has been found that the tape’s signal output level and noise are closely related to its root mean square (rms) surface roughness (correlation coefficient> 0.95). And found that as the surface roughness increases, high-frequency RF output decreases. To some extent, this relationship is consistent with the three theoretical models. The rms surface roughness measurement multiplied by 2.7 exactly equals the calculated head-to-tape spacing (hereinafter referred to as head-to-head spacing).
