一、面对失业新高的挑战,就业形势不容乐观截止2001年底,香港总人口671万,就业人口320万,失业人口26万,失业率7.6%;就业不足(每周工作时间少于35小时)人口10万(表1);就业不足率2.9%。失业率为历史最高(表2)。就业人员及行业分布情况:按年龄划分,30岁至39岁从业人员最多,占31%;按受教育程度划分,中学、预科人员最多,占57%;按行业划分,批发、零售、进出口贸易、饮食及酒店业最多,占31%(表3)。
First, in the face of the challenge of a new high in unemployment, the employment situation is not optimistic. By the end of 2001, the total population of Hong Kong was 6.71 million with a workforce of 3.2 million, an unemployed population of 260,000 and a unemployment rate of 7.6%.
