代词“彼此”在篇章中具有一定的回指特征。从宏观层面上看,“彼此”在线性顺序上具有一定的话题延续性;在层次分布上,它位于同指的名词性成分和统称复数代词之下、“零形式”之上。从微观层面上看,具有较强启后性的先行语主要以主语身份出现在主位位置,或者以宾语身份出现在述位位置,而具有较强承前性的“彼此”则一般倾向于出现在主语位置。先行语的启后性及“彼此”的承前性越强,它们之间的关联就越紧密。现代汉语中类似于“彼此”这样的复数型代词的回指特征,值得给予更多的关注和研究。
