Based on the block balance recovery technique and considering the interface thermal resistance, an adaptive finite element analysis of the nonlinear transient heat conduction problem in the foundry system was carried out. At the same time, the self-programmed software was verified by the super-convergence block smoothing technique and ANSYS software. Comparison between the three finite element solutions and experimental results shows that the method adopted in the thesis is successful
