宝顶绿茶产于川东大巴山余脉垫江宝顶塔西麓的东印山,这里气候温和,雨量充沛,晴日朝夕雾遍山,雨时昼夜云漫山,举目林海茫茫,春秋山花烂漫。宝顶绿茶于1983年春试制,历经多次改进、筛选,以四川中叶早芽种鲜叶为原料,清明前采摘细嫩芽叶,100克干茶要3800多个芽头。制作在远红外电热炒锅中进行,分鲜叶摊放、杀青、揉捻、干燥等几道工序。其制作工艺流程已经定型。
