回答“What’s this/that?”时,一般总是用“It’s a....”的形式｡“That is a....”或“That’s a....”只用于强调,或把注意力集中在所指的实物上,并且把它和其他实物分别开来｡例如:
用“What’s this?”问及文具盒里的各种文具时就可以这样回答: That’s a pen.(那是钢笔｡)/That’s a pencil.(那是铅笔)等等｡如果用“What’s that?”问及被问者手中拿着的东西时,回答时要用“This is a....”｡通常在会话中,只要回答事物的名称就可以了｡例如:
