记得有人曾这么说过,如果历史是一幕长长的话剧,那么,地理环境就是这幕话剧的演出舞台,这一生动形象的比喻,十分贴切地道出了地理环境与社会发展、政治擅变的密切关系。可是,长期以来,由于种种原因,关于地理环境对社会发展、政治嬗变的影响,人们往往讳莫如深,甚少论及,偶有的论述也只是人云亦云,不敢越雷池一步,深怕一涉及这一问题,即被扣上地理环境决定论的帽子。
